Part 5/5
What Truly Makes a House Feel Like a Home?
A house is made of bricks and walls.
A home is made of people and love.
We spend years chasing the perfect house—bigger, the fancy one—in a gated community with the best security.
And believe me, the only purpose behind all this is to show off. So that we may not feel complex in society.
But it does not matter how expensive or luxurious and well-furnished your house is; if there is no life, it remains just that—a house, not a home.
As I’ve already told you, I have been in grand mansions that felt empty. Cold.
Like something was missing. And I’ve sat in small, simple homes where the warmth was undeniable.
What makes the difference?
It’s not luxury—it's presence.
A home is where we can hear laughter always. Where conversations happen at the dinner table, not just in WhatsApp groups.
Where kids run around freely and elders share stories that aren’t interrupted by notifications.
It’s where people see each other, hear each other, and feel each other’s presence.
