Cheez: Short-video app empowers artists with tokens

Short-video app Cheez released a new feature to help artists to monetize their works this week.

The app, which has some 4.5 million users in 53 countries, has launched the artists verification feature to encourage artists who produce original music to register. As Cheez verified artists, the artists can have opportunity to have their works distributed to global video creators and earn tokens from the artists’ creations.

In current music industry, middle men such as music distribution platforms take some 80% of artists made with their creation.

Here on Cheez, there is no commision. All the income which the works are generated in this platforms will go directly to artists.

The payment will be made in COS, a digital token of content-based blockchain project Contentos. Cheez is one of first apps to establish partnership with Contentos.

At the moment, the tokens can be used for purchasing privilege and conducting chat with popular video creators on Cheez. In not distant future, withdrawal feature willl be launched.

As Cheez is a short-video app,most of its videos is about 17 second-long. Therefore, artists can also release songs or music clips around 17s here. Cheez is user- friendly to all types of musicians including beginning musicians.

Once the original music clips are released, other users will be able to use these clips for video making and you can make profit from those consumptions.

To become a Cheez verified artist, you can download Cheez on Google Play and App Store.
