Last week the Contentos team attended TokenSky 2018, the largest event for the token economy and blockchain industry in Asia. Experts from around the world — professors, investors, executives and entrepreneurs — gathered together to discuss the many opportunities blockchain has to offer, as well as how to solve problems the industry is currently facing.

During the two-day event held in Tokyo, Contentos held an offline meetup for industry leaders, media and broadcasters to talk about how blockchain can help remove the communication barriers between creators, advertisers, and fans.

Contentos co-founder Mick Tsai spoke at the meetup.

The meetup kicked off with spectacular performances from some of LiveMe’s top broadcasters. Kirki, a Taiwanese composer and influencer with over 50,000 fans, showcased her incredible singing voice. Rin, another popular broadcaster, showcased her fluency in both Chinese and Japanese, a skill which allows her to communicate with LiveMe audiences across Asia and the rest of the world. Earthman, a Japanese broadcaster, displayed his talents, and rising girl group LiT, also from Japan, performed their original music and dance.

Contentos co-founder Mick Tsai shared how Contentos is helping these talented LiveMe broadcasters and other content creators reach their full earning potential through fair value distribution and direct correspondence between creators and advertisers, as well as creators and their fans. Historically influencers heavily relied on the revenue models provided by major content/video platforms. If the platform is terminated or the revenue agreements are changed, influencers not only lose their content but their means of monetization. In partnership with popular live broadcasting app LiveMe and short video app Cheez, as well other social/digital apps, Contentos is building a decentralized ecosystem for content and distribution that addresses these issues and more.

In addition to the live performances and in-depth conversations, the Contentos team also gave every attendee 200 COS tokens, which are designed specifically for the content industry. COS tokens can be used and traded in LiveMe, Cheez and other partner apps. One lucky person even received 10,000 COS in a random drawing, while three other attendees won 5,000 COS each and five won 2,000 COS each.

With more than 50 guests from different companies and members of the blockchain and broadcasting communities at the meetup, the night was a great success. As Contentos grow its partner and creator ecosystem, we’re excited to collaborate with more partners on future events and extend our capabilities to more platforms and creators across the globe.
