This post was inspiring for its frankness and practicality. The point about understanding fundamentals could not be more true. I haven’t written Python in months, but I have been writing a lot of JavaScript. Because I understand the core of functional programming and data structures, I was able to dig back in with zero distortion.

As I approach 40 myself, I move ahead with a greater sense of purpose and the excitement I thought was left behind with childhood.
