2,000 Writers

Contributoria CTO Dan Catt setup some notification bots in Slack that tell us all when new members join Contributoria. We get a nice and steady stream of these little guys popping up throughout the day:

newMemberBot’s “Yay’s” have been getting noisier and noisier — appearing in record numbers month after month. Her friends ‘newSubscriberBot’ and ‘paymentBot’ make for a very chatty conversation in our #realtime channel, in fact. She hit a big milestone the other day:

Over 2,000 writers have joined the Contributoria network and nearly 5,000 members have signed up to the platform in all.

And they are signing up from all over the world. In particular, we’re seeing many new writers joining Contributoria from the UK, eastern US, Canada, and India. November brought us a flood of new writers from South Africa and Brazil.

We like to publish some interesting stats each month in our Letter from the Editors, but the number “2,000 Writers” seemed special enough to get its own post here on Medium.

Thank you, writers, for joining Contributoria and making our first year so amazing. We’re proud to have you as a member, and we hope we can make you proud to be a part of this community.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
