The FIFA 17 regional final of the Season 1 was organized in Paris last Saturday. Competitors, including the best players in the FIFA 17 Ultimate Team, have offered an exceptional level of game play on both Xbox One (Microsoft) and PlayStation 4 (Sony). In the final, Tassal “Hashtag Tass” Rushan won the first trophy this season and pocketing some 30,000 US dollars.

Thirty-two of FIFA’s top European players were on 4 February 2017 in Paris for the start of the EA SPORTS FIFA 17 Ultimate Team final Championship. Competitors competing in this regional competition qualified in November for the FIFA 17 Ultimate Team Weekend and climbed to the top of the monthly rankings. Players were also able to qualify at live European competitions, such as August “Agge” Rosenmeier of Paris Saint-Germain eSports, winner of the FIFA 17 DreamHack Winter 2016 competition.

There was a cut-throat competition

Sixteen players on Xbox One and sixteen on PlayStation 4 attempted to take the eight places of the final Championship Ultimate Team in Berlin where the qualified FUT players will compete to win the grand prize where some 400,000 US dollars will be at stake.

Spencer Owen’s Hashtag United team began 2017in full swing. Even though he did not get the results expected from Harry “Hashtag Harry” Hesketh or Ivan “BorasLegend” Lapanje, Tass was indeed the hero of his team in Paris. Rushan dominated the entire competition and was able to do what it took to win and add a little more to his record. Tassal “Hashtag Tass” Rushan and Cihan “S04_Cihan” Yasarlar, undefeated in the group stages and knockout, clashed in the inter-division final.

The two champions clearly showed that they produced their best performance in Paris. “Hashtag Tass” and “S04_Cihan” did not have a single defeat during the group and knockout stages. With a 3–0–0 record in the group stages, Tass won against Tom “xL” Painter and Lucas “DaXe” Cuillerier.

In the PlayStation 4 division, Cihan eliminated one of the favourites, Ali “II_Bruma_II” Riza Aygün, in the group stage before reaching the grand final by being unbeaten. After an impressive tournament, these two competitors have offered a cut-throat final on both consoles (Xbox One and PS4). The British beat Cihan “Cihan” Yasarlar (Schalke 04) for the title (3–0, 1–3) at the conclusion of a tournament full of surprises.

British Tassal Rushan wins 30,000 US dollars

The total prize money was 100,000 US dollars. Tassal “Hashtag Tass” Rushan, the winner takes 20,000 US dollars along with an additional 10,000 US dollars for winning the Xbox console. 400,000 US dollars will be at stake in Berlin

The total endowment of the Live Championship is 400,000 US dollars. Unlike the Regional Finals, this allocation is not equitably distributed between the two Divisions.

Here are the prizes awarded to the winners based on the ranking they receive at the end of the tournament:

  • 1st place: 160,000 US dollars
  • 2nd place: 80,000 US dollars
  • 3rd place & 4th place: 30,000 US dollars each
  • 1/4 finals (5th to 8th place): 8,000 US dollars
  • 1/8 finals (9th to 16th place): 5,000 US dollars
  • Pool stage (16th to 32nd place): 1,500 US dollars

Since the release of FIFA 17, some gamers have put forward some critics. They think it is a bit slow and also, the defences are too strong to the attacks. However, if, long ago, they have played for fun nowadays money has impacted on the game.
