All kinds of business events use Conversation Starter to facilitate matchmaking between attendees. We’re proud of customers such as Google, EY or the European Space Agency (ESA).

Our relentless focus on the event participant experience is one of the reasons organisers like working with us. And yes, it’s true: we’ve found ways to improve Conversation Starter.

In this blog post, we’ll take a look at four new features and offer you a sneak peek at two upcoming features on our roadmap.

📲 Log in via SMS

If you added your mobile phone number to your Conversation Starter account, you can now receive a unique URL via SMS to log you in.

Struggling to access Conversation Starter during a busy event is a thing of the past.

📸 Find conversation partners in the blink of an eye

Inside Conversation Starter, you will now see a much larger and sharper profile picture of each person you are about to meet.

👀 Hide groups of participants from each other

Imagine you’re organising a matchmaking event to connect buyers with sellers. Or perhaps job seekers with companies.

Most event organisers are happy to let everyone meet with everyone, like two students or two buyers planning a meeting with each other. However, for those event organisers who don’t like to allow that, we’ve made it possible to hide specific groups of participants from each other.

💯 Dusted in the corners

A little tweak here, a little more polish there. For example, take a look at this comparison of the browse screen and try to spot all the differences:

New on the left, old on the right

🚀 The future: features on the roadmap

In the future, anything might be possible. That being said, here are two features that are on the roadmap for sure:

  • Adjusting availability: you will have fine-grained control of when you are available to plan meetings. This is great if you’re planning on leaving early or attending an optional workshop.
  • Improved audience insights: for the event organiser, we’re building tools to better analyse networking profiles. Organisers often wonder why people are attending their event or what topics people are planning meetings about. We’re making it easier than ever to unlock these insights.

We hope you liked this post. If you did, hit 👏 to spread the word!

If you’re organising a business event, feel free to get in touch for a demo or have a look at our website.
