How to Submit

CPA only publishes blog posts that feature the research published in Public Administration and on related topics that have specifically been commissioned by the editorial team. If you have written an article for Public Administration and are interested in writing a blog post on that article, please contact our social media editor.

To submit a blog post, follow the steps below:

  1. We use medium.com as the software for our blog. In order to post a blog with us, you will need to create a free account with medium.com. Once you have created your account, please let our social media editor (Sarah Larson, larsonse@miamioh.edu) know the name of the account. Once we have received your account name, we can list you as an author for the blog.
  2. After you have been listed as an author for the blog, return to medium.com and begin writing your blog post. This is accomplished by clicking on Write, which appears on the top-right of the screen.
  3. After you have finished writing your post, click the three-dot button at the top-right corner of the page to open your story settings.
  4. Select Add to publication from the drop-down list.
  5. Choose “Conversations from Public Administration” from the list and click Save.
  6. Once you are ready to submit the story, you must click the “Ready to submit?” button at the top of the page in order to send your draft to us for review. We will then have a chance to review your draft, complete any edits and formatting that are needed, and schedule it for publication.
