Virtual Sip & Chat: Q&A with Cleo TV’s Chef Bren Herrera and Actress/Lifestyle Expert Julissa Bermudez

It’s Me, Julissa! reintroduces fans to entertainment sweetheart Julissa Bermudez after years in the industry’s background hosting various shows and helping others tell their stories. Bermudez’s show will air on Friday, October 15 at 9:30 p.m. EST/8:30C and is the first original series brought to CLEO TV by Kin x TV One Licensing Partnership along with Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix airing Fridays on CLEO TV.
In this week’s episode, Julissa is graciously sharing her story with the viewers from her early days as an immigrant from the Dominican Republic throughout her career. She focuses on her New York upbringing, discussing some of her life’s faux-pas, and the launch of her new body care brand República Skin.
Bermudez’s show marks the first original series that Kin has brought to CLEO TV. Recently Kin partnered with CLEO TV to bring hit digital series Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix to the network this Fall. In addition, Kin previously licensed digital franchises All Things Adrienne starring Adrienne Bailon Houghton and Heart of the Batter featuring recording artist and lifestyle personality Jordin Sparks to CLEO TV.

CLEO TV will air CULTURE KITCHEN, a fun, upbeat lifestyle show hosted by popular Chef Bren Herrera on Saturday, October 16 at 9 P.M. ET/8C. With an infectious personality and Afro-Latina flair, D.C.-native Bren Herrera delights with her bright, flavorful recipes, and stories from her travels abroad.
Chef Bren shares her diverse palate combining Cuban Caribbean flavors in one, delectable dish. On this week’s episode, Chef Bren cooks a Jamaican Jerk-style Oxtail complimented by the “Perfect Black Beans and Rice”. To complement, Chef Bren adds a side of Yuca Con Mojo and a signature Mango Mojito. This meal is a great option to spice up viewers’ dinner plans throughout the week.
Herrera is an award-winning celebrity chef, TV personality, entrepreneur, actress, author with an infectious ability to curate and tell stories that matter. Born in Havana, Cuba, and raised in Washington, D.C. she fell in love with cooking at a young age as her Mom introduced her to the art of pressure cooking. After leaving a lofty career in law, Herrera turned to cook as her way to celebrate her Afro-Cuban roots but also to entertain through dynamic experiences. In her very soulful kitchen, she combines Cuba’s vibrant plate, seeded in African, European, and Spanish culture and cuisine, with modern flavors and textures, to create memorable and smart dishes. She is the pressure-cooking Queen whose philosophy is to save time and energy so that you can spend precious time with your loved ones without sacrificing flavor and nutrition.
