Call Me Ace does not hold back on this project. Ace delivers bar after bar of truth and emotion in his new release, Out of Office. This project took me back to early 2000s the Little brother / 9th Wonder era. It flowed effortlessly and did not let up.

Released on February 5, 2021 — Out of Office did not disappoint. The musical production on this project took me to a place musically I had not been in years. It was an honor to attend the exclusive private listening event. I was mesmerized at the artistry displayed. This is a must add to your music rotation. It made me think about the duality of my days as a parallel entrepreneur. The ups downs and in between — it was as if he read my thoughts and emotions and put them all on wax. As he touched on mental health — a subject that I try avoid — I did not feel alone anymore. The transparency he displays is refreshing and so needed right now.

Production by J-Dot Music (Joshua Heath) and Agent M(Mike Ehrhart) were superb. Listening to them talk about their emotions while creating the tracks was so amazing to see. Each of them are beyond talented.

The 14-track project includes features by Hickman L.A. ,Taylor Taylor and Shy’an G. Each of them holding their own and showcasing their talents.

My favorite tracks on this project are In The Office and Monday Morning.
As I listened to In The Office I recall the dichotomy of working in predominantly white spaces with those who were in the 1% and how I had to watch my facial expressions and tone constantly. The many microaggressions and constant fight to “prove my intelligence and worth”. Call Me Ace paints a clear and ugly picture of what it is truly like to exist in such places. It brought me to tears. In Monday Morning Call Me Ace captured my days of sitting in my car contemplating driving away but remembering I needed my job to provide for my family and if I did not suck it up we would not survive or be able to eat. This track also empowered and made me understand that no matter what — I survived and with the right mindset I could keep going and succeed.
