In Conversation with a Kick Ass Music Festival Producer
I met Laura 6 months ago and we are just a mirror of one other when it comes to our careers and work ethic. Together we produced a very successful gig in Lisbon in November called Un/signed. It was an experiment that worked beautifully and one of the most enjoyable projects I have worked on; mostly because I worked with her.
I’m in Lisbon.
It’s 18 degrees and I’m at Brick Cafe in Graca.
I’m about to pay 1.50 for a flat white. Cheapest flat white I have ever had.
It’s funny that I worked with Laura’s husband before meeting her. When we both found out that we knew her husband it all made sense. Shows how people with similar energies are meant to be together and attract each other in the most natural of ways. Both kind, beautiful, amazing at what they do, chilled and sound souls.
We spoke about K Pop, what it is like to work with Koreans, the behaviours and habits for Instagram users and it’s content as well as how Laura is most relaxed when she is organising 7 major festivals in Portugal and finds it hard to deal with anxiety of not knowing what to do with her free time.
I admire Laura’s way of managing her life. She is very professional at work, won’t slack and push through until the job is done, no matter how hard it is. She is also one of the healthiest people I know which is something I admire because, during times of stress and high intensity, I sacrifice my health for the success of a project. Bad habits are developed when giving-in to stress. Why? Simply lack of the skills to move forward.
Puzzle piece?
- It inspired me to do things that I love and focus on only those things.
- Kas as? Kas man patinka? Koks mano mission statement? Koks as zmogus?
