Since midnight today, Russian people can’t access Instagram anymore.

For local entrepreneurs using this platform, or Meta’s ones, to build a business and influence, it means terrible news… And time spent lost.
Who knows how long those restrictions are here to stay.

Apart from the politics game, this is a great occasion to recall all of us marketers & Doers here: it’s never too late to start collecting emails from our audience.

While emailing might look like an « old » technology versus later social media, and we’re not even talking about Web3, it allows entrepreneurs & business people to have hands-on discussions with customers and prospects.

No algorithms change every 3 weeks.

No social media going bankrupt and sinking with our thousand followers, years of efforts, and investment.

No country changing the rules of access to our beloved audience.

A simple and direct access to folks that matter. To people that trusted us already enough to offer one of the most vital assets to date: their email.

And more than this: the promise of future mutual opportunity.
