The Best Time to Eat a Cookie

​[4:39 PM] aleks i’ve had a few cookies since we last blogged
one cookie i ate
seemed promising at first
local cookie
(“shop local”)
but you know what
that cookie, imo
too difficult to get into
too hard to love

​[4:40 PM] hannah that’s the thing about local cookies…

​[4:40 PM] aleks so easy to access, maybe too hard to love

​[4:40 PM] hannah makes u wonder
if u really ​can​ have it all
i find that no matter how many new cookie i try
i keep coming back to this one cookie…
even tho maybe it is not my fave cookie
could be better cookie out there
probably there is

neither the best
nor the worst
but it’s a cookie you know
and understand

​[4:41 PM] hannah a little tip i like to share with special friends is this:
if u eat cookie slowly
it tends to last longer

better than to shove it down your gullet all in one bite

​[4:42 PM] hannah but i also find that if u enjoy cookie for too long…
u get tummy ache

​[4:42 PM] aleks then there’s the smell of a cookie
a fresh cookie in the oven
it’s promise wafting
enticing
the anticipation
of a new cookie
cookie you haven’t tried before
hard to live up to your expectations
of a flavor you cannot possibly try and pre-taste
because how could you know
you’ve never eaten that cookie
have you had similar cookies?

people who subsist only on the smell, the promise of cookie
might have eating disorders

if u can plan on cookie once a week, say on a friday after work?
