Bonus Recipe #5: Strawberry Dump Cake

WARNING: EASY & DELICIOUS!

In the midst of catching up on laundry and housework, I was asked by one of my very dear friends if we could bring dessert to a dinner party. Of course I jumped at the opportunity, took inventory of what I had in my kitchen, and decided on this bangin’ recipe.

Here’s to last-minute cooking that makes my soul sing.

What You’ll Need

  • 2–3 pounds of Strawberries
  • 1 box of Yellow Cake Mix*
  • 3/4 cups of Butter (1.5 sticks)
  • Reddi Wip
  • Cooking Spray (Coconut Oil works great!)
  • 9x11 Cake Pan

*NOTE: Because of dietary needs, we used King Arthur Flour Gluten Free Yellow Cake Mix (aka a gift from God)

How We Did It

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

2. Spray 9x11 cake pan with your choice of cooking spray.

3. Cut off tops of strawberries and half them.

4. Place strawberries in the bottom of the cake pan (spread evenly).

5. Melt butter completely in the microwave (1–1.5 minutes).

6. Pour half of the butter on top of the strawberries.

7. Dump cake mix on to the strawberries and butter.

8. Pour remaining butter on top of the mixture.

9. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

10. Serve with Reddi Wip on top and enjoy!
