This is one of the many recipes that Aaron and I want to share with you. We are overjoyed for you to come with us on our journey as we put together different concoctions and laugh together (all while hoping to not burn our apartment down). Please enjoy these recipes as much as we have. We welcome you to a small, but intentional, part of our lives. If you would like to read the post that accompanies this recipe, check it out here.

What You’ll Need

  • Command strips
  • Twine/Fishing line
  • Streamers (4 large rolls plus any accent colors)
  • Scotch tape
  • Photos
  • Clothespins
  • A reason to celebrate!

How We Did It

  1. Begin by placing two command strips approximately 8–10 feet apart from each other on a wall.
  2. Tie one piece of twine/fishing line to both command strips so it is extremely tight (you may need to tighten it again later on).
  3. Measure the length needed for one streamer to go from the twine to the ground (plus a couple of inches for the taping process).
  4. Using that streamer as a “guide” begin cutting the rest of the streamers (you will need a lot).
  5. Once your streamers are cut, put a piece of tape on the top (short end) of the streamer and loop the streamer around the twine.
  6. Continue until the twine is filled with streamers.
  7. Attach accent color streamers (if you so desire).
  8. Add two pieces of twine to the command strips and let them hang to the floor.
  9. Using clothespins, attach photos to the two pieces of twine.
  10. Add accent pieces to fit your party (note our sign).
  11. Have fun and enjoy!

A Final Note

Aaron are I are so thankful that we got to celebrate my parents and their 40th Wedding Anniversary. May you find moments like this one that you can celebrate and enjoy with your loved ones.
