Celebrating Easter by joining together with our church family from afar…

Each Sunday, my wife and I cook and eat a meal together — intentionally. Every Friday, I’ll be sharing our experience here in this space. I want to see the growth that will come in our marriage because of this. I hope you enjoy our story. You can find last week’s post here.

One of the most difficult aspects of this pandemic has been the lack of community. We’re isolated from our friends and family — those that help carry us through tough times.

For Sarah and me, one such group is our church family. We attend a church in South Bend, Indiana that is very focused on God’s truth and being a haven for all. Our church is also intimately connected to the city of South Bend. In fact, we meet in a building that used to be a Studebaker factory.

In this time, we have obviously not been meeting as we usually do. However, our church has been putting out podcast versions of the service for a while now, so that became a key way for us all to stay connected. Easter was going to be a different thing entirely, though. So our church put together a special video that everyone could watch and experience on Easter Sunday.
