Week 70: Too Much of a Good Thing

We may or may not have made our dessert waffles a little too rich…

Each Sunday, my wife and I cook and eat a meal together — intentionally. Every Friday, I’ll be sharing our experience here in this space. I want to see the growth that will come in our marriage because of this. I hope you enjoy our story. You can find last week’s post here.

We piled on the chocolate. A fluffy waffle provided the base. Then came crumbled-up gluten-free Oreos with chocolate syrup drizzled over them. White chocolate chips sprinkled on top. A dollop of whipped cream put the finishing touches on our decadent dessert creation.

Then we ate them.

To be honest, they tasted amazing. So good! But that lasted for about five minutes. Then came the queasiness. In fact, my dear Sarah actually had to throw up it made her so sick.

Needless to say, I doubt we’ll be making this one again.

You can have too much of a good thing. At some point, you have to stop piling on the sugar. Otherwise, you’ll get sick.

Thank you for reading! We appreciate you so much. We wish you a lot of sweetness this week…but not too much. ;)
