We all have that one story, that one memory about food connecting and bringing people together. For me the one food memory that stands out is my grandma Racheal arrow roots recipe. She has always been a hardworking house wife with seven children, she made me peel and wash arrow roots. Whenever I visited her we always knew there was no bread for us. Well it has been a while since I visited so today I woke up thinking of her and I decided to prepare arrow roots just to remember her.

Did you know? When posting a recipe you can add a little story of how the dish came about and what inspired you to make this meal? Be it a family recipe inspired by a happy memory like mine? or an accidental success in the kitchen by experimenting with loved ones that you did not expect the dish to turn out to be so tasty? When you post one of your prized recipes to Cookpad, remember to share with us all how you were inspired to make it! :)
