Spring is a time for nature to bloom. And so it is with homefarm.

Time flies. We have been quiet but it does not mean that we were hibernating. Just a year ago, I wrote this about the homefarm app.
And now, when you search on AppStore for “allotment”, homefarm is ranked #1.

(What you see first is an ad that changes all the time and this one doesn’t have anything to do with allotments.) You can see the RHS app ‘Grown Your Own’ coming in below homefarm. We are very happy because we built this app for allotment people and home growers.

Thank you to everyone who uses homefarm

We haven’t done any App Store optimisation or customer acquisition like paid social. We’ve been focused on building the best product we can, talking to our users to find out what they need and then building it.

All our growth has been WOM (yes, i could say organic…) Somehow people find the app and use it for their planning, tracking and interacting with the community as the team designed.

A user posted an allotment picture from a drone, beautiful isn’t it? On weekends, the public feed is filled with many images of how people worked hard in their allotment. Also, these days, people are asking questions.

We will keep talking to people and making the app better and better. This is one small achievement on our journey — a sign of a green shoot if we’re really going to pursue the growing analogies. Thank you for reading until the end. Hopefully, our next update will be even bigger.
