To begin, would you mind sharing a bit about yourself and the topic you’d like to discuss?

I’m just your standard guy trying to cope with capitalism while doing what I can to transform it. I’m throwing the kitchen sink at it and haven’t quite landed on any one primary identity yet. That’s been my chief interest for about six years, although I also am a stereotypical Californian white guy in many ways: I like to surf, meditate, play guitar, that sort of thing. Apart from that, I spend a lot of time reading and writing, attempting to educate myself and generate new ideas that might help.

Initially, I pursued electoral political action (I was very active in the Sanders campaign) and eventually landed on collective healing work as the best way I could contribute. Capitalism (and other systems of domination like colonialism, empire, and patriarchy) have created enormous trauma in the human family. Trauma is inherently disconnecting and debilitating, and I believe we need to repair this if we are to transform capitalism successfully. I’m currently most focused on class peace work, which is my attempt at the opposite of class warfare. I hope…
