If you haven’t been reading the previous entries in this series, I’d recommend it. We’ve been through the evolution of political philosophies from Europe into the States in roughly half an hour of read time, spanning five articles.
In brief, we’re now at a stage where we’ve seen wealth move from an elite few in feudalism to the people via liberalism, which in turn moved the wealth to an elite few via capitalism. Socialist movements were seen trying to redound that wealth to the people once more, only to be squashed through war, and again we saw the transference of public wealth into the hands of a few occurring through fascism.
We also saw how the US went through this same pattern in a time-warp as it colonised and enslaved, then liberalised and ‘freed’, but still held power and wealth in the hands of an elite few.
