RMNP: Englishman’s Route

A less popular option on the iconic Hallet Peak.

Grade: 5.8 R, III (M6, IV in winter — if you are deranged)
Length: Half a day for a skilled team. Full day for most
Trailhead: Bear Lake TH, approach as for Emerald Lake
Approach Time: 1–2 hours

Rack: Single set of cams .1–3, nuts, ample slings. RPs and Ballnuts don’t hurt to add if you have them. A single rope is sufficient for the descent.
