ePlay’s Big Shot mobile game titles stand apart as a market leader in Augmented Reality sports games and are poised to build on existing revenue sources by introducing sports and eSports wagering in the U.S.

“The Supreme Court of The United States legalized sports gambling,” reads the headlines.

“Excellent news for sports fans, TV networks, leagues, and eSports,” say others.

Mark Cuban, believes the decision “doubles his teams value, at least”.

Of course, the devil is in the details says Cuban, “it really comes down to how the states handle the implementation”.

The states regulate and tax individually to enact policies in a patchwork. NBA commissioner, Adam Silver is asking for a “federal framework”, which is the opposite of what the Supreme Court, and it remains to be seen, as Cuban points out, “whether or not they (states) work together”.

While we all know that not every sports fan — not even the majority of sports fans — gamble, sports gambling is big business in the US — likely a $65 billion dollar business if liberalized.

As Cuban and Silver point out the decision is the start of something interesting, at a time, when lots of interesting things are already happening.

  • Cryptocurrencies are already opening the floodgates to online sports wagers.
  • DraftKings has shown the industry there are many, if not an infinite number, of ways to thread the needle on what is legal vs illegal.
  • In-game economies (cash and digital items) in eSports and other games have long created opportunities for gamblers.
  • In-game skin betting is making its way through courts.
  • Unikrn, Betway, Pinnacle, William Hill and Ladbrokes have long been taking wagers on esports worldwide.
  • Core Coinz has launched a sports and entertainment coin with several sports and entertainment wagering partners.

ePlay’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Mobovivo, has a gaming platform that already delivers pick sheet, fantasy, in-game, next goal, streak and other sports games for clients. ePlay will soon launch Big Shot Basketball, the first in a series of Augmented Reality sports and entertainment games that include in-game economies, skins, and rewards.

Regardless of how the states handle the implementation, or if there is a federal framework implemented in the US, ePlay is uniquely positioned to support end users and its business clients with games, Core Coinz reward program, and in-game economies that give sports fans, gamblers or not, innovative and market-leading mobile experiences.
