You know that there’s ONLY ONE thing that multiplies when you share it…

In 2016 we decided to help developers around the globe in designing better user interfaces. So we did — an open-source project CoreUI. In 2021, just 5 years later CoreUI is being downloaded hundreds of times every day. Being able to help hundreds of thousands of developers makes me extremely happy.

We continue our mission, and you can be sure that every day we will do our best to help more and more developers, but… THIS TIME WE NEED YOUR HELP…

Our friends, who helped us to make CoreUI better, collect funds for their son’s heart surgery.

His name is Jeremias (Jeremiasz) and he’s only two. During just 2 years he had more surgeries than 99,9% of us have during our lifetime… He’s now having a chance to make a final step in getting his life in his own little hands.

Jeremias was qualified for surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital in the United States. After considerable discounts, the valuation is much lower than it “should” be in such a situation. The total estimated cost of Jeremiasz’s operation, travel, and stay in Boston is around 600,000 polish zloty (around 150,000 USD). It’s much more money his parents could afford.

That’s why — believing in the power of the only thing which multiplies when you share it — we kindly ask you to help. Even one dollar will help. CoreUI’s community consists of hundreds of thousands of people, so together we can help save a young boy’s life.

If you want to know more about Jeremiasz’s case please read below the message from his parents.

Dear all!

Almost 2 years ago we shared the story of our younger son Jeremiasz, who was born with a complex heart defect. Back then, he was almost 4-month-old, and was barely 3 weeks after his second open-heart surgery, after several procedures, blood transfusions, and spending more than half of his life in hospital beds in various hospital wards.

We were full of hope that now we would have at least a few years of peace. We were all exhausted but also very grateful for everything that an incredible team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses did for him, and to save his life

We spontaneously managed to organize a series of 10 charity magic shows, called Magic Fridays. We raised several times more funds for the kids’ charity foundation than we initially planned. The foundation donated these funds to purchase equipment for the University Children’s Hospital in Krakow. It was a microscopic drop in the ocean of needs, but we were happy. We felt that some people, thanks to that story, understood the struggles of children with congenital heart defects, their families, and the health care system.

In private messages and conversations, we often heard the questions: “What’s next for Jeremiasz? Will he also need financial resources? Do you organize any fund-raisers?”. At that time, we answered truthfully, “no!”, maybe someday, possibly, but fortunately, there is no such need.

Unfortunately, this has changed. Today, we face a massive challenge because Jeremiasz is in for another operation within the next two months. In June, during the echocardiography, we learned that stenosis of the pulmonary trunk, pulmonary arteries, and aorta are critical, and the heart and valve are in deteriorating condition. Jeremiasz had to undergo another angiography treatment immediately. During the procedure, it turned out that it was even worse than it seemed on the echocardiography. One of the pulmonary arteries was almost closed, and his heart was working under a huge load. Everything possible was done, but the epicrisis on the hospital discharge was clear: “the patient needs urgent cardiac surgery.”

Unfortunately, we now know that it will not be his last operation, and still a long way to go.

Therefore, in recent weeks we have talked to several hospitals, this time not only in Poland but also in other countries in Europe and around the world, searching for the best option for Jeremiasz. His case was discussed by some of the best specialists in the world, from whom we collected helpful opinions and forecasts regarding further treatment options. Eventually, Jeremiasz was qualified for surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital in the United States. A few days ago, we received a treatment plan and a valuation for Jeremiasz’s heart surgery. After considerable discounts, the valuation is much lower than it “should” be in such a situation. However, it is still difficult to bear for us on our own. The total estimated cost of Jeremiasz’s operation, travel, and stay in Boston is around 600,000 polish zloty (more than 150,000 USD).

In the past, we organized charity actions for others, volunteer in various organizations, cooperated with them or supported other people in need. We didn’t know it was so hard to find ourselves on the other side and expose ourselves to ask for help.

So getting to the point — if you want, can, and feel that you are able to support us ( support our super brave son), we would be very grateful for any help and support.

Also, feel free to send us a private message. Call us. We will be happy to share more, his story, information, and details of upcoming surgery.

Thank you so much with all our hearts!
