Hi~ Good to see you again. Welcome back. During last past 8 blogs, we talked about causes, evidences, and possible effects of climate change. Today let’s talk about some solutions to improve the climate change. There might be plenty of solutions, so today let’s talk about some of them and talk about rest in next blog.

First of all, we need to reduce fossil fuel usage. Fossil fuels are including natural gas, coals and oils. They are our main energy source these days. 81% of the United States total energy comes from fossil fuels. We use them in cars, power industries, manufacturing, heating our homes, etc. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency(US EPA), greenhouse gases are consider as one of the main causes of the climate change. Unfortunately, they are produced by using fossil fuels. So, if we use less fossil fuels in our life then we will emit less greenhouse gases. Some might insist that we can’t reduce our dependency on fossil fuel usage. Actually, they are wrong. We are working on it. We used to operate our cars with fossil fuels but now we developed the car which is operating by using the electricity. Considering fact that tremendous amount of people are ordering Tesla(electric car) now days, it can be seen as that we made our first step to reduce our dependence on fossil fuel usage. It’s happening not only purchasing cars, but also other parts. People begin to use solar energy to heat their house. Likewise, there are a lot of effort going on reducing our dependency on fossil fuels. Therefore, we can reduce our fossil fuel usage. As a result it will improve climate change issues.

Second, we need to keep our earth green. Plants are well known for oxygen producer. They consume CO2 and produce O2 as a process of photosynthesis. Considering the fact that CO2 is one of the greenhouse gases and major cause of climate change, plants are one of the effective solutions which can improve the climate change issues. Furthermore, some studies insist that forest slow downs the process of climate change. However, we are reducing the forest instead of increasing them. Some developing countries are breaking down the forest as a purpose of their own development. According to World Wildlife Fund(WWF), we are losing 46~58 square miles of forest every years. WWF says it is equivalent as losing 48 football field in every minutes. Considering facts that one tree can consume 48lbs of CO2 per year and one foot ball field can hold 340 to 490 trees, we are losing tremendous amount of CO2 consumer every day. Therefore, stopping deforestation can improve climate change situation.

So far, we talked about possible solutions for climate change issue. As I mentioned earlier there are more solutions. But, I think above two are the most fundamental solutions that we can do for climate change. I believe most of you guys might already knew about this, if you were interested in climate change. If not, it would be my pleasure to enlarge your knowledge. Since there are more solutions for this issue, let’s talk about them in next post. I would like to wrap up my blog. Hope to see you next week. Bye~!
