COVID19 took all of us by surprise. The scale and impact were unthinkable to most of the people living on Earth today. Despite the obvious bang on the global healthcare system, there was virtually no company that came out intact. The automotive industry got hit particularly hard. Travelling was the last thing on people’s minds. The global supply chain shifted to products essential for work-from-home setup.
And then in early 2021, the worldwide car production had an abrupt stop due to a shortage of semiconductors — elements that are the brains of any today’s vehicles.
