Alright, here it is — I used to hate writing.
Writing to me has been a love-hate relationship though it didn’t start that way.
When I first began writing on Medium years ago, it felt liberating. I could write in my own voice, on topics that intrigued me — some that others cared about, and some that didn’t matter to anyone but me.
I loved that I could come onto a platform, write about topics I was interested in, and share my insights on topics I was passionate about.
It even opened doors to freelance writing gigs, allowing me to earn money with the skills I developed along the way.
But, like many things in life, it started to become a chore.
