Why are you in CVT?

I believe, especially now, that accessible information is really important. I joined CVT initially as a writer because I was hoping to learn more about the pandemic and hopefully share my research with others. In times like these, I think organizations like CVT really help to create accessible information and also give students the opportunity to learn more and speak out about certain areas that are important to them.

What are you learning in CVT?

So much! Just from working with the different projects, I’ve learned a lot about the pandemic, how it affects people, and possible solutions that we can create. Being surrounded by so many motivated and smart individuals, you really start to learn by osmosis. But on the other end, I’ve also learned a lot about working with a team and creating a successful organization. CVT has given me so many opportunities to learn about how to work with others and create positive results at the end of the day.

What does creating clear and meaningful content mean to you?

It’s about creating information that makes an impact. Information that can change the way we look at policy. Information that helps people remain heath. Information that directly combats misinformation. It’s also information that we anyone understand. Sadly, some of the most crucial information isn’t accessible to the typical person because it’s so riddled with jargon. Through our articles and visualizations we can give people information they wouldn’t have else wise known. In times like this, just having information can seriously impact someone’s life. CVT really ensure we all have access that information.
