I am working on a performance management project where we are educating employees about the new process. It has been interesting and at times overwhelming to work with so many departments. A benefit of meeting with people from so many departments is the ability to cut through the fluff.

This is a business need and the goal is to streamline the process for managers. This means that we have cut a lot of fluff from the initial outlines. We have been ruthless with the essential goals of the managers and how to reach a diverse audience on something that every single department needs. I think this may be one of the best trainings I have been a part of because the goals are clearly defined and everyone is working to streamline the process under tight deadlines.

This will be set up so everyone can pull the information they need when they need it with interactive step-by-step tutorials. It is amazing. This on-time availability without having to go through superfluous material means this training will be used and helpful.

Isn’t that what training should do?
