How to Use It:
Oceans account for 321 million cubic miles of water on Earth. To boil that much water is literally impossible. So when you hear “don’t boil the ocean, but…” you should feel comfort knowing you don’t have to accomplish the impossible, but only the nearly impossible.

Example:
Director: Jared, I don’t want you to boil the ocean here, but can you go through every large-scale biotech acquisition in the last ten years and pull management names and email addresses?
