Kick It Off

Phrase:
“Kick it off”

How to Use It:
Check mate. You just got owned. You’re in a meeting and no one knows what the hell is going on. By asking you to “kick it off,” the burden of looking like a fool has been placed entirely upon you. You should always make the first move in these scenarios, but it’s too late and there’s no going back now. I hope you’re quick on your feet.

Example:
[Jared walks into wrong meeting]
Other guy: Jared, glad you could make it. How about you kick it off?
Jared: [raises right hand over heart and begins Pledge of Allegiance]
