Cortex and DAIA join forces to democratize AI
The democratization of Artificial Intelligence is crucial to the future development of mankind. The enormous potential of Artificial Intelligence means that it can either increase the inequalities of society or free us from suffering. The current AI research tends to lead to concentrations of power and money, which means that the future development of Artificial Intelligence will only be more centralized and may even harm humanity.
In order to avoid such an event to happen and to meet the full potential of AI, the technology needs to be much easier to use, more reliable, and more intuitive than it is today.
The establishment of the Decentralized Artificial Intelligence Alliance (DAIA) is based on the belief that both the present and future of AI and humanity will come out better if a greater element of decentralized and widely participatory control is introduced into the picture.
DAIA was started by Ben Goertzel of SingularityNET and Toufi Saliba of AI Decentralized. DAIA brings together diverse organizations working on decentralized AI — creating an ecosystem of ecosystems that advances decentralized AI faster and with higher quality and impact that could be done by various entities acting in relative isolation.
DAIA brings together organizations and laboratories dedicated to decentralized Artificial Intelligence to create an ecosystem of ecosystems that can advance Artificial Intelligence democracy more quickly with higher quality and influence than doing alone.
Cortex and DAIA’s vision perfectly coincide. Cortex is leveraging the blockchain technology to achieve Artificial Intelligence democratization where everyone can easily gain access to the AI model and use in smart contracts and DApps. DAIA saw the same value in Cortex and invited Cortex to join DAIA. Together DAIA and Cortex will contribute for the decentralization, democratization and participatory development of Artificial Intelligence.
