Cortex Project Updates #18
Welcome to the first update of 2019! As the first bi-weekly report of 2019, we are sharing with the community partners our community plan for the first quarter to better serve our beloving fans.
Technical Updates
- Optimized storage layer to use Torrentfs that solves the efficiency problem of the flow control module when block rollback occurs;
- Optimized the model upload module in Cortex Explorer to distinguish whether the model can be executed on the chain in advance;
- Implemented Cuckoo and Cuckaroo Nvidia Miner on the Windows platform;
- Optimized the implementation of Cuda version of Cuckoo miner that reduce the memory usage and mining threshold of the graphics card;
- Designed a new prototype for model’s fixed-point solution for off-chain training and on-chain deployment. The new prototype introduced support for regression models, detection models, and image segmentation models;
- Optimized the model calculation graph analysis and investigated the support for dynamic graphs (more computational graph structure for RNN);
- Assisted the browser version of the Cortex Wallet development team to add support for Korean.
Community Updates
In the past year, the Cortex team has implemented the Cortex AI on Blockchain Ecosystem and fulfilled our commitments to the community.
In 2019, we have different plans to engage with our fans, potential users, developers, and enterprises. We will make timely adjustments during the trial operation, and we will actively communicate and negotiate with community fans and stakeholders to achieve the best.
“Cortex Knowledge” Column
The goal of the column is to educate and spread the technology behind Cortex so that everyone can better understand Cortex. We will roll-out Chinese version first follow by the English and Korean versions. The expected launch date is February 18, 2019;
Cortex Bi-Weekly Live Stream
We have started live broadcast since November and have done 5 broadcasts so far. The response within the community is very good. We will continue to air live broadcast on a bi-weekly basis to interact with our fans and provide most current updates.
Cortex Event Series
We will d host more fun and friendly community activities each month to provide an active and healthy community.
Short Clip Series
A video series will be added later this year that talks about Cortex development and technology.
Developer forum
We expect to build a developer community before the mainchain goes online, providing a dedicated place for developers and development teams to discuss and troubleshoot their questions. We expect to launch the forum in April. We will announce the details in the community, so stay tuned.
