Bringing back the podcast!
Although I’ve been blogging for ages, podcasting has been something that I’ve only tried very sporadically. I’ve really only dipped my toe into the water when it comes to that particular form of communication. My first attempt was several years ago, on the podcasting site Podbean. That podcast was only about bibles, and I called it Bible Bookshelf (to match my blog by the same name). After a few episodes, I gave up on that, but when Covid hit us a couple years ago, I brought it back, this time with the name The Corybantic Podcast.
Then I discovered Anchor.fm, and found that it was much easier to use than Podbean had been. So I migrated The Corybantic Podcast over to Anchor. After several episodes there, I decided to make it the Willy Wigglestick podcast, and concentrate only on Shakespeare stuff. That didn’t last long, and so I brought back The Corybantic Podcast for a few episodes. But about ten months ago, I just kind of ran out of ideas for that podcast, and I let it sit there.
Since I just worked so hard on streamlining my blogging, I thought, what the heck, why not give podcasting another try? So I recorded a Corybantic Podcast episode…and immediately renamed it to Corybanter, to match this blog! (You can tell self-marketing is not exactly my strong suit.) You can listen to that new episode HERE. I’m going to attempt to be more regular in both the blog and the podcast, so we’ll see what happens! I figure, if I can blog a couple times a week and podcast once a week, then I’ll be doing just fine.
Feel free to give it a listen!
P.S. The microphone I use is not nearly as cool as the one in the picture above. I don’t think I’m ready to spend that kind of money yet!
