Finding ….

Those lonely dark hours in the night
Those meals eaten alone
When the mind wandered, those misty days
In the press of people traveled, looking for arbitrary endpoints
Many times have we traveled thus
Now we fight for legroom, not bother the eternal ridicule for that
Oh time! strange strange things you do to us;
The masks to cover us have gotten skimpier
The child in us gave away to a monster
Hopes and dreams no longer weave our roof
We have grown — up and away. Proudly and willingly
A pack of cards these emotions
Slant just one and others fall in sync
Though our lives might end before it is clear
How the ripples affected the ones near
Choice between hypocritical humility and honest arrogance they say
When vanity and resentment will take a back seat they don’t say
Little can they tell that it is the quietness of the heart.
Sure I’m that one day that we will end up finding ourselves.
