Cosmic Champs September Community Update
Feeling star-struck in September? September has been a galactic month for Cosmic Champs, and the entire Algorand community!
With news of Fifa+ Collect partnering with Algorand to offer NFTs collectibles celebrating the World Cup, Algorand really is gearing up to take the world by storm.
We’re excited by the possibilities that Cosmic Champs can bring for accelerating adoption of Algorand as a leading edge blockchain in the NFT and P2E gaming space.
Let’s take a tour of the highlights from the universe of Cosmic Champs in September.
First Stop, Galaxy DeFi
There’s a good reason why Cosmic Gold (COSG) the governance token of Cosmic Champs is top token of Algorand by TVL in liquidity. We have ongoing LP rewards and farm pools across Algorand’s major DeFi platforms.
September saw the second month of the current COSG>COSG staking pool on Yieldly, and the opening of new pools including the LP farm with Aeneas rewards on Humble, a community LP rewards pool on Tinyman, and a novel DeFi product for Algorand, “Stake Your Game” on Cometa with mutual DeFi pools between COSG and Alchemon’s ALCH token.
Yieldly COSG staking will be coming back Thursday 6 October. In the meantime, keep farming the rewards:

Helping Cosmic Champs build our profile, the COSG token is now being tracked on both Coin Gecko and Nomics — great news for the Algorand DeFi ecosystem!
Nebula NFT
Holder rewards for our 3D game NFTs went out again this month, and we were thrilled to learn that COSG is among the top three tokens on Algorand for NFT purchases.
This is all thanks to Algogems for enabling COSG sales on their NFT marketplace. As of writing, there’s less than 15 of more than 1000 NFTs available for sale on the marketplaces, accounting for less than 1% of total supply and the floor price is steady around 500 Algo. Cosmic Champs NFTs are hot property!

Event Horizon
They say the world of crypto never sleeps, and with an international team that seems to be so.
We had more events in September than we’ve had in any month before! We hit off the month with our regular Champs Cafe, and went on to showcase Cosmic Champs at both live and online events.
Akasha (Growth Lead) and Hamish (Partnerships Manager) represented Cosmic Champs at the phenomenal Aus Crypto Conference, which saw more than 4000 people attend. Hamish also showcased Cosmic Champs NFTs at an Algorand Foundation gallery event in Melbourne.

Cosmic Constellation
We continue to build awareness about Cosmic Champs in the Algorand ecosystem and beyond. The official Algorand blog published an article about Cosmic Champs, showcasing the impact we are making in NFT innovation and play to earn mobile games development.
September was also the second month of the community-led and inspired Ambassador’s DAO. They hosted giveaways, collaborations, and have their own satellite system of content creators.
Highlights from September include a “What is Cosmic Champs” video from Jetropolis, as well as a video about the creative process behind the fan art of James Jusay.
The DAO also hosted a triumvirate NFT giveaway with Algorand stalwarts Tiger Chi and Aegir Tactics, with a three-way Discord quiz taking place over three days. Kudos to all three teams for making such a rewarding collaboration happen! Some Cosmic Champs inspired Algobots also popped up!
Cosmic Quests
And, finally, on September 30, we launched our Cosmic Quests program, where we ask you, our supporters, to lead our community growth.
We worked with Crew3 to enable Algorand on their community rewards platform, and launched over 30 quests that you can use to get XP points.
Each week, those in the top 3 spots on the leaderboard will receive COSG rewards (and maybe even an NFT for superb effort!) and one person outside the top 3 will also be randomly selected to win some COSG.
