Cosmic Champs is a real-time battle arena that combines elements of tower defense, multiplayer strategy, collectible card games, and play-to-earn gaming. The game is set in a retro-future where civilisation has stretched to the far reaches of the cosmos.

Gameplay
The cosmos is vast and full of mysteries — roaming its darkest depths are ships crewed by ex-soldiers, hotwired robots, and other misfits in search of an elusive Cosmic Gold payday.

NFTs
Collect, battle, trade or earn with your NFTs as you compile a crew worthy of intergalactic fame. You can find all kinds of NFTs scattered across the cosmos, including everything from champs and spaceships to entire planets!
Champs
Champs are the characters you enter battle with. There are many different types of champs, and each type falls into one of two categories: regular champs or NFT champs. Regular champs are earned by winning battles and are identical in appearance and battle statistics. NFT champs can be won in battle and purchased in the Cosmic Champs app or third-party NFT marketplaces. NFT champs are unique in appearance and have better battle statistics than regular champs.
Spaceships
Spaceships give you a base, a mining operation, and a vehicle all in one. For users to access the play-to-earn arenas (planets) they need to purchase an NFT spaceship from a marketplace. While a player is in battle, their spaceship will mine natural resources that are native to the planet — idle users will not be rewarded. These resources and tokens can then be used to build new spaceships that can be traded on a NFT marketplace or stored in a user’s wallet to increase their mining rate so they can build more spaceships more quickly. NFT spaceships also contain gameplay statistics that will boost the battle statistics of a user’s champs.
Planets
Planets are the land on which Cosmic Champs draw their battle lines. When users start a new session they will be randomly allocated to one of the planets where they will battle other users. Approximately the same number of users will arrive on each planet each day. The owners of planet NFTs will earn tokens for every user that battles in their arena. The number of planets are limited, and lucky owners can sit back and take their share of the bounty. It’s a good life, destined for only a few.
Cosmic Gold
Cosmic Gold (COSG) is the governance token that runs the cosmos. COSG holders will be able to claim rewards if they stake their tokens, including Cosmic Tickets to win NFTs or to increase their stash of Cosmic Gold.
Play-to-Earn
Cosmic Champs rewards users with tokens and NFTs for engaging with the game. A more detailed post about the play-to-earn model (that provides the payday every champ seeks) will be released soon.
