In just a few hours we are releasing the next version of the closed beta Cosmic Champs mobile game, with bug fixes and feature updates.

To help spread the excitement, and grow our community, we’re also releasing a totally updated Cosmic Quests board on Crew 3.

Watch out for the addition of a new Season 1 champ to your decks — Tertius X! To play with the new Champ, go to the ‘Deck’ screen and tap the arrow pointing right next to the text “Beta Release Deck” and it will give you a new deck called “Tertius X Deck.” Switching between these two decks will allow you to play with either Tertius III or Tertius X.

Cosmic Quests

Crew3 enables Web3 communities to onboard new members that contribute to our community growth with an automatic onboarding flow.

The first month of Crew3 was very successful, and we saw growth across our communities and social channels. More than 6000 quests were completed by our community!

We’re starting a whole fresh sprint, from Friday 18 Nov to Mon 28 Nov, so that anyone new can join and be competitive. https://cosmicchamps.crew3.xyz/questboard

Beta be Ready

Now it’s time to turn our attention to gameplay! From tomorrow, we’ll be adding a heap of tasks to reward players. Such as XP rewards for:

• Sharing images and videos of gameplay on socials
• Winning battles
• And just playing the game!

P2E isn’t integrated into this version of the game, yet, so we want to make sure our community who is helping so much is recognised and rewarded.

The new category of closed beta game quests will be under the tag “Spotlight.”

The Rewards — $1000+ in Prizes!

Week 1 —Friday Nov 18– Monday Nov 28

The closed beta launch starts off with a bang! Week 1, the rewards are big! Now, normally you think a week has 7 days, don’t you? Well, beta launch week is special — week 1 of Cosmic Quests goes for ten days. It was so big, we couldn’t fit it into just one week.

• The top of the leaderboard will receive a whopping $100 in COSG
• $50 in COSG for player with most games on leaderboard
• Anyone who completes more than 12,000 XP will receive a share of $500 in COSG
• Anyone who completes more than 6,000 XP (but less than 12,000) will receive a share of $400 in COSG
• Plus 1 Pharaoh Trig Season 1 NFT will be randomly awarded to someone who completes more than 6,000 XP!

Weeks 2–4, starting November 28

The rewards keep going. Every week, from starting November 28, there will be $550 in COSG in rewards:

• The top of the leaderboard will receive $50 in COSG
• $50 in COSG for player with most games on leaderboard
• Anyone who completes more than 10,000 XP will receive a share of $250 in COSG
• Anyone who completes more than 3,000 XP (but less than 10,000) will receive a share of $200 in COSG
• Plus 1 Pharaoh Trig Season 1 NFT will be randomly awarded to someone who completes more than 3,000 XP!

How to get started with Cosmic Quests

1. Go to the Cosmic Champs Crew3 Dashboard https://cosmicchamps.crew3.xyz/
2. Login with your Discord credentials, add your Algorand wallet in the form, and opt into COSG so that you can receive the rewards
3. Go to the Cosmic Champs quest dashboard and follow the instructions for each quest
4. Submit your quest
5. Cosmic Champs community managers will review your submissions
6. We’ll announce the winners and prizes on Fridays
7. Join the #crew-chat channel in our Discord to hear news about Cosmic Quests including the release of new quests, winner announcements and more.

Beta Game Instructions

If you played Cosmic Champs during the last closed beta test, all you need to do is download the new version from http://beta.cosmicchamps.com and install.

If this is your first time, here’s what to do:

• Have your beta pass in the wallet that you will connect to the game.
• If you don’t have a beta pass, check if you are on the allow list and opt in now. beta.cosmicchamps.com/allowlist
• If you aren’t on the allow list, get a beta pass from a friend or on the secondary market — make sure it is ASA 791381678.
• Get an Android mobile device — any medium spec phone or tablet post 2019 will be fine.
• From 8AM UTC Friday 18 November, download the game from beta.cosmicchamps.com and click “Download APK”.

• Once downloaded, go to your file manager and click on downloaded file.
• Follow the prompts to install the app. If your settings don’t allow opening third party apps, select the option to go to settings, and Click “allow from this source”.
• Click install — the screen will show install progress.

• Once it says installed, click “Open”. If you lose the screen, just head to your home screen, and click on the “Cosmic Champs” icon.

• The Sign Up page will load.

• Create an account with an email address (no spaces at the end) and a Password. The email address doesn’t have to be real. The handle of the email address (before the @) will become your user name for now. Your password must contain at least 10 characters, a capital letter, a special character, and a number.
• Or, if you’ve already created an account, click “Sign In” and enter your login details.
• To play, you’ll need to click “Connect Wallet” and connect the wallet that holds your beta pass. (Currently we only support Pera wallet).

• Either scan the QR code with your Pera app, or if Pera is installed on your device, click Pera Wallet and Pera will directly open and prompt you to approve.

• Once you connect your wallet, you’ll need to manually return to the app — e.g. close Pera and click back on your device.
• If you click on “Deck” you’ll see the Season 1 Champs in your deck. If you click on them you’ll see the stats. Your NFTs won’t currently show in the app.

• To play, click “Battle” The app will say waiting for opponent. If you want to find someone to play with, go to the #🪖┃beta-buddies channel of our Discord and invite your frens.

• To play, drag your Champs into the highlighted area on the map.
• Once Champs are deployed on the map they will automatically move and fight for you.
• Once the battle starts, you have 3 minutes to destroy your opponents base to win. If someone wins, the battle will end sooner. You can leave the game too if you want.

What is COSG?

Our governance token, Cosmic Gold (COSG), rules the Cosmic Champs metaverse. COSG will be used to earn staking rewards, reward players for using the game (P2E), and buying NFTs. When we transition to a DAO, holders of COSG will steer the ship as they will vote on changes to the game. It will also be used to fuel our creator economy which will reward the community for helping build our metaverse.

The ASA ID for the COSG token is 1065092715. To receive COSG rewards, you’ll need to opt into COSG with your Algorand wallet.
