NFTs are GO! Round 1 Launch of Season 1 NFTs on Algogems
Cosmic Launches its first Round of 3D Animated and Interactive NFTs on Algorand
Congratulations to everyone who successfully shuffled a Singularity Era Season 1 NFT on Algogems during our Round 1 mint.
The purpose of Round 1 was to ensure proper display and functionality of the 3d animated Cosmic Champs NFTs on the marketplace and Cosmic Champs website.
Round 2 will take place 6pm UTC 6 July 2022, which is the main sale, of 1000 NFTs for 48 hours or until sold out.
For everyone who was lucky enough to participate in Round 1, here’s a recap of some of the benefits of holding onto your NFT:
Don’t forget that Cosmic Champs will be free to play when it’s available from the app stores. But holding an NFT will give you access to bonus $COSG drops, Beta game testing roles and exclusive discord channels.
Champ Rarity
There were four types of Rarity in the Round 1 shuffle. You can tell the rarity of a Cosmic Champs NFT by the colour of the logo on the NFT stand.
- Green = Uncommon (1 of 100 fractions)
- Blue = Rare (1 of 10 fractions)
- Pink = Epic (1 of 10 fractions)
- Gold = Legendary (1 of 1 fractions)

What can you do with your Champ?
You can view your 3D animation Champ right now on the Cosmic Champs website and interact with it using the control panel. You can also check out your Champs’ traits which will impact gameplay when the beta launches. More info will come out about traits very soon. https://nft.cosmicchamps.com/

What will be different with Round 2?
- NFT variants will have names — the numbers next to the Champs won’t be there — making Round 1 Champs extra special!
- There will be a link on Algogems for White List wallets to click to opt into the White List token — making the process easier.
- The ASA and link for the White List token will be available 24 hours before the shuffle opens, so that you have more time to prepare ahead of Round 2.
What happens after Round 2?
- We are building a holder only area for Discord, with special channels for Champs holders — Holders of a full deck of champs (Cosmic Whales), and holders of Legendary NFTs (Legendary Champs). We hope it will be ready in time for Round 2 or soon after.
- We will be working with Algogems to incentivise selling NFTs for COSG in the secondary marketplace — e.g. exciting competitions for the owners of NFTs listed via COSG.
- If you weren’t on the Round 2 White List, there may be NFTs available from the earlier rounds for a public sale, on secondary markets (e.g. if people get more than one type of Champs they might list it) or you can wait for Season 2.
- Hold onto at least 1 NFT (or buy from secondary) in order to gain access to the Beta game releasing soon.
Final Comments
We know that there might be some people who are disappointed about missing out — we do our best at Cosmic Champs to make the community as fair and accessible as possible. This means that we chose a white list to prevent bots and bad actors scalping large numbers of NFTs.
Although some people miss out in the short term, we hope that the community will benefit long term from the extra measure to ensure distributed access to our NFTs across the community.
