About “ FITSME ”
▶ What is FitsMe?
FitsMe is Cosmochain’s first official service. It provides values to beauty consumers within Cosmochain’s ecosystem while serving as the means for collecting beauty data from consumers.
FitsMe is a beauty product recommendation and content curation service, which based on a recommendation algorithm that combines personal purchase and preference data with product data.
Currently, it provides three main services — FIND (product recommendation), TRY (product trial) and USE (product experience) — and various features including in-app purchase using tokens will be added gradually.
▶ Service Achievements
Cosmochain has been developing service using Lean Startup methodology. Lean Startup refers to the process of setting a hypothesis, developing a MVP (Minimum Viable Product), and testing customer reactions in the market. Through this cycle, the company develops continuously and quickly. This method allows startups with relatively restricted funds to reduce the risk of failure after spending long time on a full-size product.
Through this cycle, Cosmochain realized that customers have difficulties in deciding which cosmetic products to purchase amidst the overflowing information, and that they need contents to guide them through purchase decision.
Following this process, Cosmochain could develop a service with 20,000 MAU within 1 month without special marketing. Most of the acquired users were organic beauty fans, and these user base wlil become the stepping stones for scaling up.
Furthermore, FitsMe ranks 6th as popular beauty app, and 1st and trending beauty app within Korean Google Play Store. Services ranked higher than FitsMe (Memebox, Hwahae, etc.) are services with history of 5+ years and market cap of hundreds of millions USD
▶ Detailed Introduction of Service Features
1) FIND
FIND is a feature that will find and recommend products that best fit personal tastes and preferences.
1) Users enter personal data including skin characteristics and preferences for certain product qualities
2) Then, personal match rate (%) will be displayed after analysis of different products within our database
3) Aside from the recommended products, users can also search for specific products to see matching rate and read product reviews
As of July 16 2019, FIND feature is available for three product categories — foundation, cream, and sunscreen.
2) TRY
Users can actually TRY the products they have been recommended in the FIND feature.
3 to 5 trial events are opened each week, and event winners will be provided with a sample or the full product.
Currently, the TRY feature is operated through lottery event upon completion of missions, but direct purchase of products will also be available in the future.
3) USE
USE feature provides services which help users manage and utilize their cosmetic products.
Current feature allows users to keep track of expiration dates for their products, and more features will be added to curate various contents such as product use method, relevant video, etc.
▶ Future Plans
FitsMe’s goals for second half of 2019 are expansion of user base and integration of token model.
Within second half this year, FitsMe aims to become one of the TOP3 services within beauty category with MAU of over 300,000. Based on this user base, we plan to build a token model (including expanded utility of token, and token rewards).
Token model, which is currently being internally discussed, will be shared within Q3 through Cosmochain channels.
Cosmochain aims to expand beyond simple cosmetic recommendation service to a high-quality integrated beauty service platform.
