Kakao Klaytn
In May 2018, Kakao Investment first invested in blockchain with their investment inCosmochain, and on August 30th, Ground X announced initial service partnership with Cosmochain.
Kakao’s blockchain subsidiary Ground X develops an enterprise-grade, service-centric blockchain platform “Klaytn”, and announced Cosmochain as its first Initial Service Partner.
Currently, Klaytn targets June 27th as the date of mainnet launch, and in the final stages of development. There are 26 partners scheduled to on-board Klaytn after the launch including Cosmochain, and Cosmochain will be a service representing the lifestyle category.
Furthermore, after the release of Klaytn mainnet, blockchain integration is expected for major Kakao services. Most popular assumptions for blockchain integration include Kakao crypto wallet, Kakao Pay and Kakao Mobiltiy.
Accordingly, Cosmochain is aiming for not only integration into potential Kakao crypto wallet, but also pre-installing of its blockchain-based service onto KakaoTalk.
Through Kakao services — namely, a messenger with 95% market share and 50 million users, Cosmochain aims to expand its service user base as well as token holders.
About Cosmochain
Cosmochain is a blockchain-based beauty project, that aims to build an ecosystem which enables the transfer of fair values between users and companies within the beauty industry. During its three-month pilot service from August to November, 2018, COSMEE recorded DAU of 30,000 and registered users of 150,000.
