Brand-new Dashboard on Mintscan Explorer
Cosmostation introduces added features on the mintscan.io
Background
Mintscan is a product developed & improved by the Cosmostation team and it is one of the beloved block explorers in the Cosmos ecosystem. To help users to find all the necessary information with ease, we added new features that would help users to know more about what is going on around the blockchain space.
As the Cosmos ecosystem expands and it gets more complex to follow with all the mainnet upgrades, dApps, and governance proposals, we came up with a decision to include all the information on the main dashboard so that users can find all the information on one page.
For non-developer users, it was hard to find information about the blockchain parameters because those information were only visible in the API. But now, you can see all the important blockchain parameters for each chain such as how long the unbonding period is.

What is mintscan?
Mintscan is a user-friendly block explorer specifically built for PoS blockchain networks, including a number of sovereign blockchains designed with Tendermint consensus engine such as Cosmos Network, Osmosis Labs, Junø, Persistence. You can find almost all the data you need in the cosmos ecosystem including on-chain transactions, a list of validators, proposals and block information, etc.

What are the new features?
Announcement
Announcement is on the top left corner of mintscan.io and it displays important information like the mainnet upgrade of the specific chain. When you click the announcement, you can check the details of the announcement like what the upgrade is about and its upgrade schedule.
If you click ‘List View’, it will show all the announcements of the chain you originally selected. On the top right side of the announcement board, you will see a drop-down list. You can select to view announcements of the specific chain.
Chain Dashboard
On the right side of where the price chart is displayed, there will be a button to redirect you to the chain’s docs, github, telegram, and dAapps. So, if any users want to know about the chain and engage more in the community of the specific chain, then visit mintscan.io to be part of a member of the community.
Another new feature we put on the chain dashboard is the proposal that is currently in the voting period. Voting on the governance proposal is an important aspect to drive the chain to the right path where everyone is pleased with the result.
Parameter Tab
This is the new tab on mintscan.io. It displays all the necessary blockchain parameters including minting, staking, governance, distribution, and slashing. It would help the users to know more about the chains that they are buying and staking. It will also help other users like the ones who submit governance proposals and start to run a validator node.
For the users who bought the tokens for staking purposes, then information like inflation and unbonding period is an important parameter. It is because those parameters will decide how much users will receive as a reward for the staking APY and help users to plan for managing the fund before starting staking.
This parameter tab is also beneficial for the users who submit a proposal. If the user writes the proposal for the first time, then it would be hard for them to know the governance parameter because all of the governance parameters are different by each chain and can be changed by the governance proposal.
For the users who would like to run the validator node on the chain, distribution and slashing parameters would help them efficiently manage their node.
