“dApp” on Cosmostation Mobile Wallet
With the addition of “DAPP” tab on Cosmostation Mobile Wallet, stationers can now enjoy full access to dApps on mobile phones.
What’s a dApp?
A decentralized application — or dApp — is like a digital app found on any smartphone or laptop, with the additional feature of employing blockchain technology to keep users’ data out of the hands of the organizations behind it. Just like cryptocurrency is decentralized money, dApps are decentralized apps.
Ever since the emergence of the smart contracts, dApps have become essentials of blockchain protocols. Although most dApps have been developed for a desktop environment, we are doing more and more tasks on our mobile phones nowadays. That is why Cosmostation is bringing a dApp experience into mobile.

Full Access to a dApp’s Features on Mobile
One good example of a dApp on Cosmostation Mobile Wallet is Crescent DEX. Crescent DEX is a dApp on Crescent chain that enables users to swap, stake, farm, vote, and claim tokens. If you have any $ATOM token available in your account, you can IBC(Inter Blockchain Communication) send it to Crescent chain and enjoy passive income by yield farming on their DEX. And all these can be done within Cosmostation Mobile Wallet.
What’s in it?
Cosmostation Mobile Wallet DAPP tab supports 8 dApps on 5 Cosmos chains at the time of writing — Osmosis, Evmos, Kava, Juno, and Crescent. But Cosmostation is by no means planning on limiting itself to only that. There are 40+ chains and even more number of dApps in the Cosmos ecosystem that can be easily be integrated to the dApp tab. So buckle up for a long ride!
Permissionless Listing
What is “permissionless”? True to its name, it allows anyone to take part in the network and access/provide information. In short, it is decentralized and open to the public. It’s called “permissionless” because there are no gatekeepers and no censorship. Anyone who wants to access the blockchain does not need to pass Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements or provide identification documents.
Cosmostation allows permissionless listing of dApps on our wallet’s “DAPP” tab. What it means for the users is that they should DYOR first and interact with the dApps at their discretion. But it’s not just a bad thing. It also means their choice of dApp can easily be listed on Cosmostation Mobile Wallet’s DAPP tab as long as the dApp matches certain technical specifications which will be explained below.

1) Wallet Connect Supported dApps
Cosmostation Mobile Wallet supports dApps with Trust Wallet specs, Keplr Wallet specs, and Cosmostation Wallet specs via Wallet Connect. If a dApp already supports Wallet Connect on mobile, then there’s a good chance that the dApp’s already qualified for the technical specifications to be integrated to Cosmostation Mobile Wallet’s DAPP tab. A simple Pull Request to Cosmostation Github with the following information will do the rest.
2) Building with Cosmostation Specs
For those who haven’t integrated Wallet Connect to mobile dApps, Cosmostation provides a guide and an example for devs to build with Cosmostation specs that are compatible with other wallets’ specs.
