FIAT DEPOSIT GUIDE
Dear members of the community,
Today’s guide shows users the process of depositing FIAT on COSS.io
It’s going to be a screen by screen guide, to minimize confusion.
You will be setting up an ETANA account through COSS.io.
ETANA will be providing Custodian accounts to our users.
Unlike most exchanges that deals in FIAT, your funds will be held in that custodian account, so it has the advantage of keeping your funds safe by separating it from COSS’s account.
A gentle reminder: the minimum deposit amount is 1,000 USD, excluding the 40 USD + 0.5% of the deposit amount.
Instructions will be on the top, followed by the picture.
This guide has 2 sections:
- Setting up an ETANA account
- Deposit of FIAT to ETANA
SETTING UP AN ETANA ACCOUNT
To get started, go to “Deposit” on COSS.io and click on “USD”.
Please take note of the COSS Reference Number; you would be required to input it in the ETANA questionnaire when you sign up.
You will be directed to ETANA’s website after clicking on “TAKE ME THERE”
Leave the “Trader” field as it is, and fill in your email and password fields. Make sure your passwords fit their security requirements.
Press “REGISTER”
The next page should inform you that a confirmation email with an activation link will be sent to your email address.
Check your email and click on “Proceed registration”
You will be taken to ETANA’s website. Input your phone number and press “Submit”.
You will get a SMS on your phone. Type in the verification code into the “Verification Code” field and click “Submit”
Fill in your particulars and press “NEXT”
Check the “Trading through Exchange” checkbox, and fill in your COSS REFERENCE NUMBER in the field at the bottom.
Check the checkbox at the bottom of the screen, and press “Finish”
Check the checkbox at the bottom of the screen, and press “Submit”
After pressing “Submit”, you will be taken back to your Profile page. There should be a yellow header next to Your Profile that says “Pending verification”
You should also get an email that informs you the ETANA team has received your details, and will start the review process.
When the ETANA team has reviewed your documents ( up to 3 working days; depending on their backlog ), you will get another email informing you of your application status.
If you are successful, you can login to the ETANA website and confirm your Bank account details.
Your Profile page should show a green box that says Verified. Click on the yellow triangle on the top right corner of the screen.
Click on “ Please fill out Source of Funds questionnaire”
Fill out your particulars and press “Submit” when you are finished.
Fill in your Bank account details and upload your Bank statement and click on “Create” when you are finished. The Bank statement has to match the Bank account provided to ETANA.
You will be taken to the next page which shows that your bank account is “Pending approval” under the STATUS column.
When the ETANA team has reviewed your bank account application ( up to 3 working days; depending on their backlog ), you will get another email informing you of your application status.
If you are successful, please click on the “Deposit” link in the email.
Your status on your bank account application on the ETANA website will be shown as Approved.
Click on the Yellow triangle on the top right corner of the screen and click on “Venture Account between <your name> and C.O.S.S pending acceptance.
You will be taken to the Ventures section on the website. Click on “Accept”.
The next screen shows you are verified with C.O.S.S
DEPOSIT OF FIAT TO ETANA
To make a deposit, click on “Custody” and click on “Deposit”
You will receive an email that gives you instructions on how you can deposit funds to ETANA from your bank. Take note of the attachment on your email. That attachment contains instructions to input into the wire transfer fields on your bank’s wire transfer page.
Login to your bank, and initiate a wire transfer to ETANA, using these instructions.
Once the wire transfer is complete, you will see it on the Custody section on ETANA.
Your COSS wallet will also reflect the amount you have deposited.
