FIAT GUIDE
Dear members of the community,
Today’s guide shows users the process of depositing and withdrawing USD on COSS.io
It’s going to be a screen by screen guide, to minimize confusion.
You will be setting up an ETANA account through COSS.io.
ETANA will be providing Custodian accounts to our users.
Do take note: You can make transfers to ETANA in your local currency,and once the deposit is cleared in the bank, ETANA will credit your Custody account with the USD equivalent of your deposit.
Unlike most exchanges that deal in FIAT, your funds will be held in that custodian account, so it has the advantage of keeping your funds safe by separating it from COSS’s account.
A kind reminder: the minimum deposit amount for Custody account is 500 USD.
- Transactions fees of Etana Custody on incoming deposits are: 0.5% and 20 USD bank fee
- Transaction fees of Etana Custody for outgoing fiat transfers (withdrawals): 25 USD flat.
- Transaction fees of COSS.IO are 20 USD for deposit and 25 USD on outgoing payments.
Instructions will be on the top, followed by the picture.
This guide has 3 sections:
- Setting up an ETANA account
- Depositing to your ETANA (Custody) account
- Withdrawing USD from COSS.io
SETTING UP AN ETANA ACCOUNT
To get started, go to “Deposit” on COSS.io and click on “USD Deposit”.
You will get a Prompt. Check the checkbox and press “Yes, Deposit USD”
Please take note of the COSS Reference Number; you would be required to input it in the ETANA questionnaire when you sign up.
You will be directed to ETANA’s website after clicking on “TAKE ME THERE”
Leave the “User” field as it is, and fill in your email and password fields. Password must include both upper and lower case letters and at least one number. Make sure your password fit the security requirements.
Press “REGISTER”
The next page should inform you that a confirmation email with an activation link will be sent to your email address.
Check your email and click on “Proceed registration”
You will be taken to ETANA’s website. Input your phone number and press “Submit”.
You will get an SMS on your phone. Type in the verification code into the “Verification Code” field and click “Submit”
Fill in your personal information and upload the requested documents. Please make sure that the documents you upload are valid and the information is clear to read.
Press “Save” and continue by filling out the questionnaire.
Fill out the questionnaire
Check the “Trading through Exchange” checkbox, and fill in your COSS REFERENCE NUMBER in the field at the bottom.
Check the checkbox at the bottom of the screen, and press “Finish”
After pressing “Submit”, you will be taken back to your Profile page. There should be a yellow header next to Your Profile that says “Pending verification”
You should also get an email that informs you the ETANA team has received your details, and will start the review process.
When the ETANA team has reviewed your documents ( up to 3 working days; depending on their backlog ), you will get another email informing you of your application status.
2. Depositing to your ETANA (Custody) account
If you are successful, you can login to the ETANA website and confirm your Bank account details.
Once you login to your profile on ETANA, you will be asked to accept the Custody agreement.
Your Profile page should show a green box that says Verified. Click on the yellow triangle on the top right corner of the screen.
Click on “ Please fill out Source of Funds questionnaire”
Fill out your particulars and press “Submit” when you are finished.
Fill in your Bank account details and upload your Bank statement and click on “Create” when you are finished. The Bank statement has to match the Bank account provided to ETANA.
You will be taken to the next page which shows that your bank account is “Pending approval” under the STATUS column.
When the ETANA team has reviewed your bank account application ( up to 3 working days; depending on their backlog ), you will get another email informing you of your application status.
While waiting for your Bank account to be approved, click again on the notifications icon, and accept the Venture invitation from COSS.IO.
You will be taken to the Ventures section on the website. Click on “Accept.”
In the Pop-up window, you need to type in your Unique user Reference number for your e-wallet at the exchange.
Once that is done, you would have to wait for COSS.IO to confirm that the COSS REFERENCE NUMBER is correct. You will be notified about the status of the venture by email.
When you receive ETANA’s email informing you of your application status, you should see an email like the one pictured below.
If you are successful, please click on the “Deposit” link in the email.
To deposit USD, you can: click on the Deposit link in the email, OR go to your Custody profile select — Custody then Deposit.
Type the amount you will deposit in USD* and press Deposit.
- You can deposit local currency, and it will be converted to US Dollar.
Once you press “ DEPOSIT,” you will be taken to Step 2
Click on the protocol icon to download the Protocol in a PDF format.
The Protocol contains the bank details of ETANA, with detailed instructions on how to do the bank wire transfer.
Copy the transaction number and insert it into Bank Refcode field.
Click on Submit.
When COSS.io credits your wallet with the deposited amount, you will :
- Receive an email notifying you that COSS.io has funded your trading account
- Be able to see the balance in the USD wallet of your account.
3. Withdrawing USD from COSS.io
Click on the withdraw button
Input the amount you want to withdraw
Enter your 2FA code
You should receive an email. Click on the URL.
Click on confirm in the prompt that comes up. You should then see your withdrawal status.
Once COSS.io processes the withdrawal, you will see your funds in the Custody section of his account at ETANA. Click on Withdraw.
Select your bank account and type in the amount you would like to withdraw.
Do NOTE that a bank wire fee of 25 USD will be charged from your withdrawal amount and the minimum withdrawal amount is 100 USD.
After you click on withdraw, your transaction will be shown as “PENDING.” This means ETANA is processing your transaction. This will take est. 2 working days.
Once the payment is sent, the status of the wire transfer will be changed to “Completed.” The actual wire transfer takes about 3–4 working days, and you will see your withdrawal amount in your bank after that.
