How to approach sessions such as VIBE, DVT and CBTs

So, it’s revision time and every coaching institute knows it.

So, how do you approach these programs?

VIBE, DVT or any other “quick revision” series should be though of as just an “add-on” to YOUR revision schedule.

NEVER put too much stress on those sessions for revision. They give you but a very minor edge (compare your month long revision schedule to 5 days of such sessions).

Attend them based on the subject you feel you need to get some excess detail or a quick recall, but feel free to just get up and leave a class if you feel it’s not upto the mark or going too slow.

You have to realise that anything that eats into your revision schedule time HAS to be COMPLETELY WORTH it, or you push it away.

I myself have strategically skipped some days of subject from such quick-revision programs, and I’ve also walked out during sessions, even when sitting on the last bench, with the door right in front next to the projector.

Focus on creating time for your revision.

Attend Medicine Pathology, and Surgery for sure though, as even with poor teachers these subjects are worth it.

How do you go about answering CBTs?

ANSWER THEM ALL!!!

5–7 QUESTIONS WILL COME from CBTs themselves!

But again, strategically.

For starters, go for CBTs by only the “big brands” and reputed companies. That’s obvious.

Secondly, Personally I wouldn’t answer the “live” Tests if I could delay them for more revision time.
I’d them answer an offline version by squeezing in the time and still end up getting an approximate rank.

Ranking wasn’t my core concern- Getting access to the questions that’ll mostly come for the exam was, so as long as I answered and got an answer sheet, it didn’t matter.

They aren’t giving you the PDF for not answering on the scheduled date? Get it from your friends. And then remember them when you get a rank.

GO for the On-Site tests- They’re worth your time.

Finally, MAKE SURE you REVISE these high yield CBT questions the next day and re-revise them in the last week before the exam.

That’s about it.

And, best of luck- REVISE!
