You have to learn to take a blind leap.

We’ve taken difficult decisions.

My mentor, took a leap into Radiation Oncology at AIIMS, when most would have just pulled back and sat home and studied more. Or taken surgery instead.

He’s now surrounded by the leaders of Cancer Care in India, and exposed to the crusp of Cancer Research.

I’ve taken multiple such leaps in my life, one of which was deciding to re-answer instead of taking the seat I was getting.

That worked out great.

But not too many can do that. Not too many can bear the emotional stress and “suffering” it entails to take such very difficult decisions.

When you’ve got a tonne of peer pressure weighing down on you, the majority just crumble and choose the easier option- Do EXACTLY what everyone else tells you to do.

It’s easy to conform- Everybody likes you then.

But that doesn’t get you to your goals. (and I hope you’ve got them written down)

When studying for NEET PG, you need to know EXACTLY what you’re doing, and you need to continue to BELIEVE in YOURSELF, even when you’re in such terrible doubt.

You need to constantly keep “acting” and working towards your long term goals.

It’s not easy.

But that’s how it is, and that’s how it feels.

Will you crumble like 99%, or will you stand fast?
