Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is an automatic identification technology for contactless bidirectional data communication through radio frequency. It uses radio frequency to read and write recording media (electronic tags or radio frequency cards) so as to achieve the goal of identification and data exchange. RFID is considered to be one of the most potential developments of information technology in the 21st century.

The Internet of things is an information cooperation network connecting people, things and the Internet. The first premise to realize the Internet of everything is to establish the digital identity system of “things”, and RFID is one of the technical means to identify identity. How to read quickly, but at the same time to ensure accuracy, this has been a technical bottleneck plaguing the industry. Only when recognition is faster and more accurate can data be trusted and collaborated efficiently.

Last month, the RFID & NFC research team lead by Dr. Jing yiou, an expert of COT identification system, successfully solved the problem of accurately reading a large number of high-density tags in a noisy environment, and the problem of low reading accuracy in a high-density environment. The multi-channel RFID technology of COT ALL-IP scheme can effectively reduce the multiple data interference in the identification process and greatly improve the identification accuracy and efficiency.

The verification model is based on the application scenario of high-density inventory. The working frequency of the system is 13.56 MHz. It supports the ISO15693/ISO18000–3 standard. The multi-channel radio frequency identification scheme and the anti-collision algorithm based on real-time signal strength are adopted. Actual measurement: 240 benchmark counts takes about 12 seconds; 460 benchmark count takes about 32 seconds; 680 benchmark count takes about 45 seconds. The overall error rate of this case is less than 0.7 per 10,000, reaching the industry leading level.

In the next stage, we will continue to optimize and expand the technology around the COT “object” identification system. We will integrate the characteristics of blockchains and customized digital identity schemes to meet the application needs in many fields, such as biological reagent management, new retail, fixed assets management, intelligent transportation, industrial 4.0, intelligent property, warehousing logistics, and provide basic technical support for the upgrading and transformation of the real economy.
