Meet The COTI Team, Featuring: Alex Panasenko
As the COTI team continues to grow at a rapid pace, we wanted to introduce our team, new and old, for you to get to know them better. This week, we are happy to introduce Alex Panasenko, our Senior Product Manager.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you got into Crypto?
Hello, my name is Alex Panasenko. I’m COTI’s Senior Product Manager, a Husband, Scuba Diver, Gamer, Foodie, and soon-to-be a boat Skipper.
After completing my military service, I decided to follow my passion for technology, which I developed from a young age, by building my own PCs and surfing the Web using a 56K modem, and playing snake on my Nokia 3310.
I started my professional journey as a QA Engineer and worked my way up from there. Later on, I decided to pivot into Product Management and I got my first Product Management position in a big FinTech company.
To be honest, I wasn’t sold on Crypto technology in its early days. I saw the tremendous gaps between the vision and what the technology had to actually offer. While searching for a professional challenge, I had an interview with Nir Arazi, COTI’s COO, that led me to research the state of Crypto technology then. I was amazed by how the industry evolved and matured and the amount of different technological solutions aimed to solve real-world problems. After reading ‘Life After Google: The Fall of Big Data and the Rise of the Blockchain Economy’ — By George Gilder, I was convinced and on a path to mobilize and do my small part in building the Web3 economy.
What attracted you to COTI?
What caught my attention is the vision of creating a technological solution that will enable Enterprises and Government players to transition and interact with Web3 economies and utilize the many benefits it has to offer. I was also blown away by the talented and passionate team of professionals that I now engage with on a daily basis.
What do you hope to improve from within COTI’s Product Management?
There is always room to improve as companies grow, transition, and mature; there is a need to introduce new processes that will address the above-mentioned changes and the pains related to them. One of my challenges is to steer product development and align it with COTI’s strategic objectives to drive us forward in the right direction. I am looking at my role from a service provider perspective, so I’m doing my best to clear bottlenecks and keep our locomotive engine running smoothly and efficiently while trying to increase its efficiency as we go.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
I recently completed my 100 Scuba Dive, and as the tradition dictates, I dived without a wet suit. Normally it wouldn’t be a big deal in warm conditions, but when you dive to a 30-meter depth and the water temperature is around 21 degrees Celsius, it’s not a “Fun” experience. I made it out safely, but I have one thing to tell you “Scuba Dive with a wet suit, don’t be like Alex.”
Can you describe yourself in 3 emojis?
