Today the team at Couchdrop is happy to announce the release of automatically expiring user accounts.

Stale user accounts provide a massive security risk for companies and create a mess to manage for administrators even in smaller organisations. It is important for organisations to keep a tidy ship and restrict access only to accounts that are still relevant.

With auto expiring user accounts, Couchdrop administrators can assign an expiry to a newly created user account. Once the expiry is reached, the user account will no longer be able to login to any part of the Couchdrop platform and will have no access to data.

In the next update to user administration, the team will be releasing automatic alerting and notifications for expiring users to help reduce operational friction even further.
